Consul General Nawata Visits Nitte University

On October 1, Consul General Nawata traveled to Mangalore and visited Nitte University in the city. The university has sent many of its engineering graduates to Japan over the years. Several Japanese host companies have established offices on the university campus to provide training and other support to students prior to their dispatch to Japan. A “Center of Excellence” was launched on October 1 to consolidate these offices into a single location. In his remarks, the Consul General stated that as Japan and India seek to become stronger and more prosperous by leveraging their respective strengths, this initiative by Nitte University will contribute to and support those efforts.
