Consul General Nawata attends Ribbon-cutting Ceremony for the “Read Japan Project” at Christ University

On August 12, Consul General Nawata attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the launch of the “Read Japan Project” at Christ University in Bengaluru. The “Read Japan Project” is a book donation initiative organized by The Nippon Foundation to promote understanding of Japan by donating English-language books about Japan to educational and research institutions overseas. 

Approximately 100 faculty members and students attended the ceremony, during which Consul General Nawata gave a presentation on diplomatic relations between Japan and India and on Japan’s soft power.
