Peace Commemoration Ceremony at St. Joseph's University

On 6 August, Consul General Nawata was invited to attend a peace gathering held at Joseph’s University, Bengaluru, to mark the 81st anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. 

Approximately 200 members of staff and students attended the event. Consul General Nawata presented the entries made by the G7 leaders in the guest book during their visit to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, in 2023 and outlined the Japanese Government’s efforts encouraging nuclear disarmament.
