Overseas Travelling Exhibition “Yakishime: Earth Metamorphosis”

From October 18 to 26, the overseas travelling exhibition “Yakishime: Earth Metamorphosis,” co-hosted by the Consulate-General of Japan in Bengaluru and the Japan Foundation, will be held at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in the city.
This exhibition focuses on “Yakishime,” arguably the most primitive ceramic production technique. The exhibit introduces a facet of Japanese culture, by showcasing works from the early origins of Yakishime, which developed uniquely in Japan, through to the present day.
