On May 14, Consul General Nakane visited Plant No. 3 of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., located in Narasapura Industrial Area, Kolar District.
According to Mr. Sunil Kumar Mittal, the Chief Operating Officer, the plant, which is also dubbed the "Green Factory", as 98% of the electricity and 100% of the water for industrial use is supplied by renewable energy and rainwater. The factory employs 6800 people and produces 2.4million motorcycles and scooters annually.
