Meeting with Governor Kazuhiko Oigawa of Ibaraki Prefecture

On April 10, during his brief return to Japan, Consul General Nakane met with Governor Kazuhiko Oigawa of the Ibaraki Prefectural Government, which is interested in accepting Indian personnel.
The Consul General gave an overview of the state of Karnataka and expounded on the efforts of local organizations to train and send out skilled personnel from various fields, caregivers for example. In response, the Governor expressed his hope to visit Bengaluru, as the prefecture is facing a serious labor shortage and skilled foreign human resources would be very helpful.
