Foreign Minister's Commendation to Bengalurean

   The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan has awarded the Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Mr. P Narasimha Karanth, the Honorary Secretary, Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Karnataka. This commendation is a first of its kind, since the establishment of the Consulate-General of Japan in Bengaluru.
 
   Mr. P Narasimha Karanth, is one of the founding members of the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Karnataka, 2005. He has actively participated in planning, devising and implementation of Indo-Japan business exchange events as well as Indo-Japan cultural exchange events organized by the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Karnataka. He has immensely contributed to the establishment of the Dialogue and Monitoring Committee in 2009, and in 2014 the Project Facilitation Committee, in order to establish a platform for dialogue between the Karnataka State Government and Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bangalore – which includes negotiations with the Karnataka State Government, in order to enhance the investment environment for Japanese companies in the state of Karnataka.
 
(Note*) The Dialogue and Monitoring Committee is a consultation body between the Karnataka State Government and Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bangalore, which works to resolve any general problems related to investment and market ventures of Japanese companies in the State of Karnataka. The Project Facilitation Committee conducts dialogues between the Karnataka State Government and individual Japanese companies in order to resolve any operational problems of these companies.
